What is this site about?
ever since i first read about the idea of the "collective unconscious" i've been intrigued by the it. this site is designed as a fun way to collect and sort your dreams, as well as find common ground with others!
The Underlying Theory
the core idea is this:
- dreams are influenced by the waking experiences of the sleepers' lives
- people who live in the same place and go through very similar experiences in the waking world would have similar building blocks for their unconscious to work with at night
- despite this, each persons mind is unique, personal, and special. you can start with all the same data and end up in completely different places.
- mapping the dream similarities is interesting, but we're just as interested in finding those differences!
by finding these common threads and exploring new perspectives we hope to discover new psychic tools and techniques that can be reapplied on a larger scale to improve the lives of all humanity!
Though they may start with similar materials, the mind is a highly personal thing. How the unconscious of the individual uses these stimuli and what it makes with them is what interests us. Though each Dream may be different, there may be common threads.
What Kind of Dreams Do You Want?
All kinds of dreams! Daydreams, Night Dreams, Good Dreams, Nightmares, Exciting Dreams, and even mundane dreams! For example, did you dream last night that your dog told you they wanted a different brand of dog food? Log it!
Did you have a dream the next night that your dog told you they wanted a different brand of dog food? Log that one too!
What about this: the next night you dream your dog told you they want a different brand of dog food? At this point you should not only log that dream, but strongly consider buying a different brand of dog food!
What Will I Get From This?
If you've ever had a gut feeling and ignored it then later came to regret it, that was a sign that you needed to listen to your unconscious. By learning to key in on and pick up on the signals your body and mind are sending you, it's possible your increased awareness will benefit your waking life.
By listening to your needs, you can only benefit!
